JEN. TAN SRI ABDUL AZIZ B. ZAINAL (B)

General Abdul Aziz Hj Aziz Bin Zainal served with the Royal Malaysian Army for over three decades, being commissioned into the Royal Malay Regiment (RMR) in 1971 and rising to the rank of General.

In 2004, General Abdul Aziz Hj Aziz bin Zainal was given the ultimate responsibility of leading the Malaysian Army and was then subsequently appointed the 16th Chief of the Malaysian Defence Force in 2007.

General Abdul Aziz Hj Aziz bin Zainal served in various front line active posts as well as a Staff Officer in training and administration within the Royal Malaysian Army. These posts included Staff Officer at the Infantry Directorate (Army Headquarters) Chief Instructor at the Army Management School and Commandant of the Army Combat Training Centre, General Officer Commanding 3 Division and head of the Army Field Command.

General Abdul Aziz Hj Aziz bin Zainal also has considerable experience at the international and managerial level; he was Assistant Defence Attaché in the Philippines, served with NATO as Malaysian Contingent Commander in Bosnia & Herzegovina from 1996 to 1997 and he developed the Armed Forces capability development plan, called the “Fourth Dimension MAF” (4D MAF).

Following his military career, General Abdul Aziz Hj Aziz bin Zainal served in the Malaysian Government as he was the Ambassador of Malaysia to France and accredited to Portugal and Monaco. General Abdul Aziz Hj Aziz Bin Zainal has also held senior non-executive positions with Heitech Defence System Sdn. Bhd. and Glomac Berhad.

 

HAJI ABDUL HAKIM BIN HUSIN

Haji Abdul Hakim has a Bachelor of Surveying from the University of Otago, New Zealand and he also attained a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), the training arm of the Public Service Department, Malaysia.

Haji Abdul Hakim began his career working as a surveyor and later worked in remote sensing before taking a senior role within the government land departments in Pahang and Kedah, combining his skills with Information Technology and land assessments.

Haji Abdul Hakim later returned to the private sector and worked on the East Coast of Malaysia overseeing digital land imaging plus computer system analyst for handling the land data.

Haji Abdul Hakim spent over a decade as the Managing Director of Creative World Industries Sdn Bhd, a cutting-edge computer systems and ICT consulting company providing vendor solutions, helpdesk and IT support for private sector and government agencies.
